Integrated with TMT Fleet Maintenance Software, this universal vehicle data bus solution will enable fleets to identify and address the esti- mated 57% of their vehicles operating with undiagnosed fault codes. The low-cost SenseStat hardware add-on feature works with the Mobi- leTraq Vue by displaying four zones behind the vehicle to help fleets and drivers prevent backing accidents. The system automatically detects when the vehicle is in reverse and changes the display from monitoring the TireStat tire sensors to displaying the SenseStat backing sensors. The PTS50 uses compressed air from the tractor-trailer system to raise or lower its legs in about 5 seconds and with little physi- cal effort by the driver, said Simon Bois, executive vice president and general man- ager in North America for Prime Transport Solutions. The PST50's two legs can support 220,000 pounds, and its design includes a locking pin that prevents each leg from collapsing. The legs will not raise a trailer's nose; they must be freed by the tractor backing under the trailer before the legs can be lifted. Deployed height can be set to a fleet's normal fifth wheel height, so most couplings should be smooth. They use high- efficiency monocrys- talline cells to produce more power per square foot than any other flexible panel on the market, according to the company. Unlike rigid solar panels, Solar Flex panels require no mounting brackets or framework, and at just 3 millimeters thick, the panels can be contoured to mount almost anywhere on a vehicle, even on top of a trailer. The slender panels are aerodynamic and are engineered to be virtually indestructible.
