They combine user-friendly features from mobile light-duty models with capacities of 50,000 and 60,000 pounds and two runway lengths to handle maxi- mum wheelbases of 28 or 33 feet. Each column has a hydraulic cylinder, patented controls with a graphic layout, batteries, and an onboard 110-volt electrical charger. A low-profile runway makes it easy to drive any vehicle onto the lifts, and the runways raise as high as 78 inches. HDC series lifts are anchored to the shop floor using a few wedge-style anchors per column. Optional accessories include rolling vehicle jacks, LED lighting, and wheel kits for moving the columns. Key weight-reducing components are a 12.9-liter PACCAR MX- 13 diesel, Eaton Fuller Advantage transmis- sion, a 6x2 tandem with one driving and one non-driving axle, rear wide-base single tires on aluminum wheels, and an aluminum fifth wheel. The tractor also has a Kenworth AG380 air-ride suspen- sion and medium-length, MX-optimized hood for a 119- inch bumber-to-back of cab dimension. Kenworth meanwhile says an Advantage version of the T680 will be available for ordering in July. The Advan- tage features advanced aerodynamics for maximum fuel economy, and includes the MX-13 diesel as standard. Circle 343 on Reader Action Card or go to www.hdt.hotresponse.com
