He was global vice president of sales and marketing for Magna Exteriors, Interiors and Seating. Grote named longtime Grote executive Eric Thor- stensen to a newly created position of director of business development. Kent Bode will replace him as director of OEM sales. Giti Tire Ltd. promoted Armand Allaire to executive vice president of sales and marketing and Tom McNamara to executive vice president of business development. Phillips Industries announced the retirement of Steve Davis , national OEM truck sales manager, effective July 2014. Commercial Vehicle Group hired Caterpillar veteran Ulf Lindqwister as chief administrative officer. Its North American Aftermarket business is now headed by Pat Miller in his capacity of president of Global Truck & Bus. Hadley named Tim Lampen fleet and dealer ac- count manager, responsible for developing new business within the fleet and dealer industry. New Jersey-based I.D. Systems named Norm Ellis chief operating officer. Known for his 16 years at Omnitracs (previously Qualcomm), he will be responsible for On the Move Stephane Babcock has joined the Heavy Duty Trucking editorial team as senior editor. A journalist since 1998 with extensive experience in B2B pub- lishing, he comes to HDT from Bobit Busi- ness Media's Fleet Group, where he was senior editor for Green Fleet , Automotive Fleet , Work Truck, and Fleet Financials .
