Looking at historical results from the Q3 2014 Fleet Sentiment Report survey from CK Com- mercial Vehicle Research, you can see that in 2009 capacity at most fleets far outstripped the available freight (47% of FSR respondents were in this situation). Today 36% of respondents are in the opposite environment, where they have plenty of freight and not enough capacity to haul it (need more equipment). Capacity crunch is accelerated when fleets are unable to hire enough drivers to grow to meet current demand. For more info visit www.ckcvr.com.
