11 VOCATIONAL TRANSMISSION NEWS Your Turn Event Get 'Your Turn' at Eaton's Proving Grounds Eaton provides the trucks and the course, while you get to put their products to the test. Started in 2012 as a way to showcase the vocational capabilities of the UltraShift PLUS automated manual transmission, Eaton's "Your Turn" events, have grown into a must- attend activity for feets that are in the market for a dump, mixer or heavy- haul truck. "The 'Your Turn' idea goes back to what made you fall in love with trucks when you were a kid playing in the dirt!" said Molly Doyle, Eaton's automation sales manager. "We provide the trucks and the course, and let you have 'Your Turn.'" This hands-on and all-inclusive, paid customer event is held at the Eaton Proving Grounds in Marshall, MI. Participants have the opportunity to operate trucks in a working vocational environment and experience frsthand how the UltraShift PLUS transmission performs across multiple applications. There's even a head-to-head comparison with a torque-converter automatic in challenging off-road terrain — such as mud, water and an eye- opening heavy haul of 140,000 pounds on 8% and 15% grades. On-site experts at the event answer questions and help drivers discover how the UltraShift PLUS fts their individual business needs. "We developed the Your Turn events for our customers, and knowing how important the dealership is to a vocational feet, we invite the salesperson to attend as well," Doyle noted. "We host several OEM-specifc events each year, and this year we also developed our frst-ever Spanish-only event for Latino customers." By all accounts, these Your Turn events have been a huge hit. By the end of 2014 nearly 1,500 people will have attended the 29 events since starting the program. "The 'Your Turn' idea goes back to what made you fall in love with trucks when you were a kid playing in the dirt! We provide the trucks and the course, and let you have 'Your Turn.'" —Molly Doyle, Eaton Automation Sales Manager If you're interested in attending an upcoming event, visit www.eaton.com/yourturn.
