The Fuel Max LHD G505D is SmartWay-verified and designed to improve fuel economy by incorpo- rating fuel-efficient compounds, tire constructions and tread designs to lower the rolling resistance of the tires, according to the manufacturer. The new tire features a highly siped center rib and lateral grooves for better all season traction. Goodyear Tred- lock technology contains interlock- ing micro-grooves and a wide tread to help stabilize the tread. The tire fea- tures a steel-belt casing package for endurance and better retreadabilty, and penetration protectors to resist stone drilling. Manufactured by Superior Energy Systems, the Pro-Vend 2000 uses a touchscreen to interact with the dispenser's driver and mileage tracking systems. It can also display a built-in training video showing drivers how to use the dispenser and its features. It is a turnkey unit that includes a zero-emission fuel nozzle and a card- reading unit that can be used for public or pri- vate stations. Peterbilt Model 220 clear frame rail package P eterbilt's medium-duty Model 220 can now be spec'd with a clear frame rail package that provides up to 10 inches of additional frame rail space. The new configuration also allows for a 40% larger diesel exhaust fluid tank, better visibility through the rear win- dow and easier serviceability. The Model 220, which was announced in March and went into full production in July, is a low cabover Class 6 and 7 truck with increased perfor- mance, durability and operating environment. According to Peterbilt, the vehicle features enhanced maneuverability that shortens the curb-to-curb turning radius by 30% and improved braking with a standard electronic braking system.
